Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password hash. We do not store your password in plain text.

Broker Credentials

If you connect a brokerage account, your broker credentials are encrypted in your browser with a passphrase before being transmitted to our servers. The encrypted credentials are stored; we cannot decrypt them without your passphrase, which we never receive or store.

Usage Data

We collect information about your use of Trade The Path, including your watchlist, alert preferences, the stocks you view, and your subscription plan.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe provides us with a transaction ID and subscription status.

Telegram

If you link your Telegram account, we store your Telegram user ID and chat ID to send you alerts. We can only message you if you have initiated contact with the bot.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Trade The Path service
• Process your subscription payments and manage your account
• Send you Telegram alerts for stocks you are watching (if you subscribe to alerts)
• Communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests
• Improve and personalize the service
• Enable shared login with our sister site, Trade The Post (if enabled)

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Service Providers: We use Stripe for payment processing and may use other service providers to help operate Trade The Path. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business Transfers: If Grow Unlimited LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of broker credentials before transmission and storage
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Hashed password storage (we never store passwords in plain text)
• Session tokens for authentication

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Update

You can access and update your account information in Settings.

Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal information by contacting support@tradethepath.com. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Telegram Alerts

You can unlink your Telegram account or stop receiving alerts at any time by sending /stop to the bot.

Marketing Communications

We may send you service-related emails (e.g., subscription renewals, account notifications). You cannot opt out of these essential communications while you maintain an account.

Cookies and Tracking

Trade The Path uses session cookies to maintain your login state. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Children's Privacy

Trade The Path is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

Trade The Path is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or prominent notice on the site. Continued use of Trade The Path after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
